# Which login methods are supported?

> The two ways to sign in to the Artist Portal, and the authenticator app that every sign-in requires.

The Artist Portal offers two ways to prove who you are, and both then ask for a code from your authenticator app.

**Email and password.** The password you chose when you accepted your invitation.

**Email login code.** Qlero emails you a short code instead. Use this when you'd rather not keep a password, or when you can't remember yours.

Either way, you finish by entering the current code from your authenticator app. That second step is required for everyone and can't be turned off. See [Is there two-factor authentication?](/artists/access/two-factor-authentication).

<Note>
  There are no Google, Microsoft, Apple or single sign-on buttons. Your Qlero login is separate from any account you hold elsewhere, even when it uses the same email address.
</Note>

## Choosing between them

An email login code is the quicker route if you sign in rarely, because there's no password to remember and nothing to reset. A password is quicker if you sign in often, because you don't have to wait for an email each time.

You don't have to pick one permanently. Both remain available on the sign-in screen, so you can use a password most of the time and fall back to a code when you've forgotten it.

## Next steps
