# Can I see a trend over time or a graph?

> The charts Analytics draws, and how to compare periods without one.

There's no trend line. Analytics ranks rather than plots, so nothing on the page charts your earnings against time.

What you do get, once a tab has five or more results:

**A bar chart** of the top five on Tracks, Releases, Artists and Stores, with the rest listed underneath.

**A world map** on Territories, shading the countries and showing net sales and each country's share.

With fewer than five results there's no chart, just the list.

## Comparing periods

Use the **Period** filter. Select one period, note the figure, then select another. Selecting several at once adds them together rather than showing them side by side, so compare one at a time.

If you want a proper time series, the Sales CSV from each statement carries the sale dates, which is what you'd build it from in a spreadsheet.
