# Does Analytics include unpublished periods?

> What Analytics can and can't see.

No. Analytics only covers periods your record company has published to you, the same ones you can open under Statements. A period they're still calculating or reviewing doesn't appear here, and neither do its sales.

So the newest listening never shows up straight away. Stores report to your record company after the fact, and the sales only become visible to you once the period containing them is published.

The **Period** filter is the check: if a period isn't in that list, its data isn't in your figures.

When your record company recalculates a period they've already published, Analytics follows the newest version of it. Until your record company publish that version, the period drops out of your figures, then comes back with the corrected numbers. A figure you noted earlier can change for the same reason.

## Next steps

* See when a period reaches you in [When are new statements published?](/artists/statements/when-statements-are-published).
* See why sales arrive late in [Why are streams from an earlier month only showing now?](/artists/statements/reporting-delay).
