# Can I see my contract terms or royalty rate in the portal?

> What the portal shows about your deal, and where the terms themselves live.

No. The portal shows results, not terms. You can see what you earned, what was deducted and what you're owed, but not the rates that produced those figures or the wording of your agreement.

Your contract is the place those live, so ask your record company for a copy if you don't have one.

## What you can see about a deal

Your contracts appear by name in the statement level switcher, so you can read a period for one deal on its own: its royalties, its costs, its units and its balance.

The Sales CSV goes one step further. Each row carries the royalty rate and the effective royalty rate applied to that sale, along with your participation. That won't tell you what your contract says, but it does show what was applied to each line, which is often the real question behind "is my rate right?".

## Next steps

* Check a rate against the detail in [What's in the Sales CSV and Costs CSV?](/artists/statements/csv-columns).
* See why a royalty is smaller than the sales in [Why is my royalty lower than the net sales in Analytics?](/artists/statements/royalty-versus-net-sales).
