# Can I query a Statement?

> Who to ask about a figure you don't recognise, and what to send them.

Yes, with your record company. They produce the statement, hold your contract, and are the only ones who can change a figure or reissue a period. Qlero provides the software and can't see or alter your deal, so a question about an amount has to go to them.

Before you write, the portal can usually tell you where a figure came from:

* Switch to the contract level to see which deal produced it.
* Download the Sales CSV for the line-by-line detail, including the rate applied to each row.
* Check the **Transactions** table for any manual entry your record company added.

Then quote the period name, the level you were looking at, and the figure you're asking about. A statement can look wrong for a reason that's easy to explain, such as a cost from an earlier period still recouping, so the specifics get you an answer faster.
