Overview

Tracks represent individual recordings, while releases group one or more tracks for distribution. Both are managed in the Repertoire section, either individually or through bulk import.

Adding a track

When creating a new track, the essential information needed includes the Name, Display Artists, and ISRC code. The system requires that each ISRC be distinct within your record company—duplicates are not permitted. Additional optional fields are available, such as Label, Variant, Version, P Line, Duration, Foreign ID, Aliases and Notes. For comprehensive field definitions, consult the Track glossary.

Adding a release

For releases, the core required fields are Name, Display Artists, and Release Type (Album, Single, EP, or Compilation are examples). You can optionally include Label, Barcode, Catalog Number, Release Date, Foreign ID, Aliases and Notes. Each Barcode and Catalog Number must be unique within your record company if provided.

Linking tracks to a release

A release can include any number of tracks. You may link tracks when initially creating a release or edit the release afterward to add them. Individual tracks can appear across multiple releases.
