A Release represents a packaged collection of Tracks. It may contain one or multiple Tracks and can appear in various formats such as Singles, EPs, or Albums. Releases are used when mapping incoming sales data to the correct product.
Fields marked with Required must be provided when creating a new .

Fields

Name Required – The title of the release. Display Artists Required – A formatted representation of the included artists. Foreign ID – Use this field to store an external system ID for the release. Label – A reference to the Label associated with this release. Barcode – The UPC/EAN code used to identify the release in sales reporting. Catalog Number – The internal label identifier for the release.
Either Barcode or Catalog Number is required.
Variant Type – Indicates the release variant, such as Deluxe Edition, Remix Package, or Reissue. Version – A version descriptor complementing the variant type. Release Date – The date when the release became publicly available. Format Type ID – Identifies the type of release (e.g., Single, EP, Album). Optional. Aliases – A list of additional identifiers for the release, such as any alternate Barcodes, Catalog Numbers or other IDs. Aliases are used when mapping incoming sales data to the catalog.
