Auto-matching links a contract to tracks and releases that share a label or artist name, so you don’t have to set the same sales participation one item at a time. Use it when one deal consistently covers a whole label or one complete artist credit.
Using contract auto-matching requires view and write access to Repertoire & Agreements. If you don’t see + Add rule or Flush auto-matching, ask your administrator. See User access and roles.

How matching works

Label. Choose an existing label to match every track or release that uses it. A label rule is usually the better choice when several artists share one deal. Artist name. Enter the complete artist name as it appears on the track or release. Nora Lane does not match Nora Lane & The Velvet Foxes. A track or release that matches any saved rule is eligible. Qlero links the contract to its Sales participation at 100%. It skips repertoire that already has a Sales contract, while a Costs-only assignment does not block the match. Saved rules apply automatically when matching repertoire is created, updated, or imported. Use Flush auto-matching when matching tracks or releases already exist. If no matching repertoire exists yet, stop after saving the rules.

Add auto-matching rules

1

Open the contract's Repertoire tab

Open Agreements › Contracts, select the contract, then click Repertoire. Keep Overview selected.
2

Add the matching rules

Click + Add rule. Choose Label and select a label, or choose Artist name and enter the complete artist credit, Nora Lane for her singles deal. Add another rule if the contract should also match a second label or artist name. A track or release matches when it meets any one rule.
3

Save the rules

Click Save Updates. Saving prepares future matches but does not link repertoire that already exists.
A repertoire item can still match a label rule on one contract and an artist-name rule on another. Newly created or updated repertoire uses the label rule, while an existing item linked by one contract’s flush is skipped by later flushes. Give each deal rules that don’t overlap.
Match existing repertoire. Click Flush auto-matching, review the confirmation, then click Flush. Qlero reports how many tracks and releases it linked. Click Tracks or Releases to see the matched records. Each result links to its repertoire page, where you can change the Sales rate or add Costs participation.

If a rule doesn’t produce the result you expect

No matches. Qlero reports “No unassigned repertoire matched these rules.” Check that the artist name is the complete credit shown on the track or release, or that the selected label is attached. Items that already have a Sales contract are skipped. Rule already used by another contract. One label or artist name can be an auto-matching rule on only one contract. Qlero names the other contract and blocks the save. Remove the rule from that contract or choose a rule that identifies this deal unambiguously. Removing or changing a rule does not remove links it already created. Update those records from their Participation Rates tabs.
