Who starts it
They pay automatically. Your record company has set you up so that each period prepares your payment for them to review and execute. Nothing is needed from you. You request it. Your dashboard shows Request Payout once you’re above the threshold, and your record company reviews the request. You invoice them. You send an invoice and they create the payment from it. Which one applies is set on your payee record, so ask your record company if you’re not sure. The dashboard is a quick tell: a payout button means you’re on the request arrangement.If nothing happens
A balance below the payout threshold isn’t paid. It carries forward and goes out once later earnings take you past the line. A balance above it with no payment usually means your record company hasn’t run their payment yet. They can also hold a payment where billing or bank details are incomplete, so it’s worth checking yours are filled in.Next steps
