What are the numbers under the names?
The codes beside your payee, accounts and contracts.
They’re the reference codes your record company gave the payee, account or contract. Codes often come from the system they used before Qlero, which is why they can look like account numbers.
They’re optional, so a record company that doesn’t use them leaves them empty, and the name appears on its own. Nothing on the statement depends on them.
They’re worth quoting when you write to your record company about a particular deal. “Contract 20004” identifies exactly which one you mean, which saves a round trip when you have several with similar names.
