Each row’s percentage is its share of the period’s total royalties. A track showing 30% earned 30% of everything the statement earned. It isn’t your royalty rate, and it isn’t a share of units. Two things follow from that:
  • The percentages on a tab add up to the whole period only if that tab’s ten rows cover all of it. With more than ten tracks, they add up to less than 100%.
  • A track can hold a bigger share of your royalties than of your streams, or the other way round, because the money per unit differs by store and territory.
The Costs chart uses the same idea against total costs, and the Sales chart against total royalties.
Analytics uses a percentage too, but it measures share of net sales rather than of royalties, so the same track can show a different figure there.
