Sales breaks your royalties for the period into slices. The dropdown in its corner chooses what the slices are grouped by, and the figures are royalties in your statement currency, not what the stores paid your record company. Sale Type. The kind of business the sale came from, such as streaming, download or physical. Format Type. The form the sale took inside that, such as a premium stream, an ad-funded stream, a CD or vinyl. Price Category. The price tier the store reported the sale under. The names are your record company’s own. Qlero doesn’t impose a fixed list, so two record companies can describe the same sale differently, and a category you don’t recognise is one they created. Grouping by sale type first tells you the shape of your income. Format type is where a surprise usually shows up, such as ad-funded streams making up more of your total than you expected. If a grouping has nothing to show, the chart says so, such as “No price category data for this statement.” That means the sales in this period didn’t carry that detail, not that the royalties are missing.
